A lady was arrested Wednesday outdoors the headquarters for the U.S. Capitol Police after police noticed a gun case and the butt of a protracted gun in her car, the police stated. The girl, recognized as Kery Lynn McAttee, is dealing with a number of weapons expenses, the police stated in an announcement to CBS News.

McAttee parked in entrance of the constructing and informed police she drove to Washington, D.C., from Michigan wanting to speak about “information she had about January 6, 2021,” the police stated. The arrest got here lower than per week after officers marked the primary anniversary of the rebel.

“At this time, there is no evidence the 58 year old suspect was coming here to do anything, except speak with our officers,” the police stated within the assertion.

An unloaded .22-caliber rifle and a loaded .410-caliber shotgun had been present in her car, the police stated.

McAttee was charged with illegal possession of a weapon, possession of unregistered ammunition, illegal possession or transportation of a semi-automatic rifle and illegal possession of a firearm, the police stated.

The company’s workplaces close to the Capitol can also be near workplace buildings for the Senate and Washington’s Union Station.
