A mechanic in South Carolina is placing folks in his group within the driver’s seat — at no cost.

Eliot Middleton works magic below numerous hoods, smoking barbecue at his restaurant and repairing donated automobiles.

He presents the automobiles to folks with no trip in rural South Carolina. So far, he has gifted greater than 60 automobiles.

“They now know that there’s somebody in the community that was looking out for them and cared for them to be able to carry on,” Middleton stated.

After CBS News ran a narrative about Middleton in June, viewers donated dozens of used automobiles.

He gave away 12 automobiles for the 12 days of Christmas.

“You have no idea how much this means to me,” Aziare Green, considered one of Middleton’s present recipients, stated.

“I’m so glad we were able to help,” Middleton stated.

Green received a 2006 Honda Civic. To the one mother, it is like Santa pulled up and gave her his sleigh.

“I am always having to wait and borrow people’s cars,” Green stated. But now she has her personal automobile, made attainable due to Middleton’s efforts.

When requested what the charity had taught him about folks, Middleton stated that “With somebody pushing the iron, there’s going to be folks behind you pushing the iron too.”
