CENTURION: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday stated that pacer Jasprit Bumrah suffered a proper ankle sprain whereas bowling within the first innings of the continuing first Test towards South Africa right here on the SuperSport Park, Centurion.
Bumrah has walked off the sphere and because of this, Shreyas Iyer has taken the sphere instead.
“Jasprit Bumrah has suffered a right ankle sprain while bowling in the first innings. The medical team is monitoring him at the moment. Shreyas Iyer is on the field as his substitute,” tweeted BCCI.

In the eleventh over of South Africa innings, Bumrah left the sphere after twisting his ankle within the followthrough.
India was bowled out for 327 within the first innings after Lungi Ngidi took a six-wicket haul. KL Rahul top-scored for the guests as he performed a knock of 123.
